The system has the considerable advantage of having only two points of support even in the presence of the external support and of having the shaft that does not rotate and therefore can’t yield in case of imperfect alignment between the base and the support. The maximum static load of 3200 kg makes it possible to use it in lifts with capacities up to 630 kg.

The generous sizing of the mechanical components and especially of the worm crown and the presence of the double shaft system with external support and integrated base makes it reliable even in the most demanding working conditions such as public offices, hotels and in very high rise buildings.

Like all Faer machines has the adjustment of the screw-crown clearance, the oil bath lubrication of fast rotating parts and the contact points of the worm drive and the possibility of disassembling all the components with traditional tools and without the aid of extractors. Other important construction features are the body in cast iron with high mechanical strength, the worm screw in special alloy and ground steel with axial load holding by means of tapered roller bearings and the worm crown in high speed centrifuged bronze.

The version with self-stable base (BT) represents the ideal stand-alone solution in the absence of the deviation pulley (winding angle 180 °). The possibility of having pulleys up to 700 mm diameter on this model makes this version extremely interesting in terms of cost reduction and simplification.
